Asker A. Saeed is an internationally recognized diversity, equity and inclusion thought leader, advocate, speaker and strategist. He helps strengthen organizations through sustainable systems, policies, and procedures that foster diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces where all employees thrive personally and professionally. He joined KPPB LAW in 2024 to lead DEI Strategic Counseling for the firm. Asker’s nearly three decades of leadership experience spans working with law firms, corporations, non-profits, and government entities of all sizes in diversity, equity and inclusion, business management and growth, strategic planning, project management, process improvement, as well as legal practice.
Before joining KPPB LAW, Asker founded and led Saeed Consulting Group. As a national DEI consultant, he has been advising law firms and businesses in a range of diversity and inclusion initiatives including process improvement, strategic plan development, workplace assessments, and awareness training. He has earned recognition for his DEI advocacy and impact with awards including the Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award from the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity, the University of Buffalo Law School Students of Color Committee Distinguished Alumni Award and the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut Member of the Year Award.
He was previously the head of diversity and inclusion at an Am Law 100 international law firm and before that at an Am Law 200 regional law firm in the Northeast. Prior to advising employers on DEI, Asker practiced business law for 10 years at two large law firms and as corporate counsel at United Technologies Corporation. He also has held business leadership roles with a national Canadian electronics retailer, a large multinational jet engine joint venture, and an international staffing corporation.
Asker is currently on the Advisory Council for the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of North America, where he is a former executive director. He previously served on SABA’s executive committee and national board of directors. Asker is a founding member and former president of the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut (SABAC) and currently serves on SABAC’s advisory board. He also serves as a director of the Manchester Community College Foundation in Connecticut. Asker is a former secretary of the Connecticut Bar Association and a former director of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
Born in England and raised in Canada, Asker earned his law degree from the University at Buffalo Law School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada. Asker is based in Connecticut.
