Nandita Ruchandani brings nearly three decades of legal experience related to immigration, corporate law, and real estate transactions. Her extensive immigration practice supports businesses in a wide range of matters. She is experienced in investor-based immigration strategies such as EB-5 and E-2, employment-based immigration strategies such as L visas, H visas, and B-1 visas, individual and family-based immigrant petitions, applications for permanent residence, and naturalization. Nandita’s corporate law services include assisting businesses with purchases and sales, leases, and contract review in Connecticut and New York. Her real estate practice encompasses purchases, refinances, and sales of commercial real estate in New York and Connecticut.
Prior to joining KPPB LAW, Nandita was a solo-practice attorney for 26 years. She is admitted in Connecticut, New York, and Washington, DC, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She previously served as a temporary assistant clerk for the State of Connecticut. During law school, she was awarded a fellowship that enabled her to work in Mumbai, India, with the Lawyer’s Collective of Bombay documenting laws relating to Dowry issues.

She currently serves as a Delegate to the Connecticut Bar Association House of Delegates and is the co-chair of the DEI committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Nandita is the secretary of the South Asian Bar Association of North American and a past president of the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut.
Nandita earned her law degree from George Washington University School of law; her master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University; and her bachelor of arts degree in political science and oriental studies from Barnard College. She is fluent in French, Hindi, Urdu, and Sindhi. Nandita is based in KPPB LAW’s Connecticut office.
