Nick Prabhu focuses his practice on commercial real estate loan closings; Small Business Administration (SBA) loan closings; purchase and sale of hotels/motels, gas stations, large multi-family apartment complexes, restaurants, shopping centers, businesses and franchises; formation and structuring of corporations and LLCs; landlord-tenant matters and commercial leases; and general corporate matters. He has represented individual investors; companies of all sizes; national, regional and community banks; and governmental and quasi-governmental entities.
Nick recently advised clients in commercial real estate acquisitions such the purchase of a 160 unit multi-family low income housing apartment complex; land for a quick service restaurant development project and in a corporate transaction involving a restructure by mergers of several related entities.
In addition to his two decades of legal experience, Nick’s professional experience includes managing banking relationships with Fortune 500 companies and regional companies for the First NBC (now J.P. Morgan Chase Bank). He is a past member of the Wealth Management team at Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia Bank), where he developed and implemented estate planning strategies for high net-worth individuals.
Nick is a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms, the North American South Asian Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association of Georgia.
He earned his law degree from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he was the chairman of the Moot Court Board and a member of the National Moot Court team. Nick earned his M.B.A. in Corporate Finance and International Business from Tulane University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Mumbai, India.
Nick is fluent in Hindi and Marathi.
